🌍 Why I Made This
This project was created by me, JJ (Jaihanna Nalls), as part of my final assignment for HYPE — Hope for Youth Through Education. I wanted to design something that uses AI in a creative and responsible way, while celebrating food traditions from different cultures. My goal was to build a site that’s fun, educational, and respectful of the stories behind each dish.
🤖 What Is Generative AI?
Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence that can create new content — like writing, images, music, or ideas — based on patterns it’s learned from data. It doesn’t just copy things; it generates original results by predicting what comes next. I used AI tools to help write recipe descriptions, organize my layout, and brainstorm creative ways to present global dishes.
🎨 How I Used AI
- Generated text and cultural notes for each recipe

⚖️ Thinking About Bias
I learned that AI systems can reflect bias from the data they’re trained on. That’s why I made sure to research each dish carefully and present it with respect. I didn’t want to stereotype or oversimplify any culture — just celebrate the beauty and diversity of global food traditions.

This site is about more than just recipes. It’s about using technology to connect people, share stories, and learn from each other. I hope it inspires others to explore culture through creativity — and to use AI tools in ways that are thoughtful, inclusive, and fun.
